WATER SAVING TIPS

Choose low water use or drought tolerant plants in your landscape.

Do not run outdoor watering systems more than three days per week.

Check & adjust your irrigation systems at least once a month to inspect for leaks, overspray, and broken sprinkler heads.

Immediately replace and repair any damaged or leaking parts and connections.

Water only during off-peak hours (before 9 am and after 5 pm) when temperatures are cooler, to reduce evaporation.

Upgrade any out-of-date irrigation systems to those with water-saving emitters, moisture sensors, and smart sprinkler controllers.

Use mulch or ground covers in all planter beds to reduce evaporation and save hundreds of gallons a year.

Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways, sidewalks, and patios.
